Explanation of Performance Cards

Three report cards. The first provides student enrollment and school status information. The second has a bar graph of fourth grade reading performance indicating the following percentages of student groups proficient or above: thirty five percent of all students, fifty percent of white students, twenty eight percent of black students, twenty seven percent of white students, twenty five percent of students having limited English proficiency, twenty two percent of IEP students, and twenty six percent of economically disadvantaged students. The card reports that only the white student group achieved AYP. The third card has a bar graph of fourth grade math performance indicating the following percentages of student groups proficient or above: forty five percent of all students, fifty six percent of white students, thirty five percent of black students, forty two percent of white students, thirty two percent of students having limited English proficiency, twenty nine percent of IEP students, and forty percent of economically disadvantaged students. The card reports that all students, white students, and Hispanic students met AYP.
